Sophy is a henna artist as well as a face and body painter. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration. The jump from traditional illustration to face painting and henna was a natural one for Sophy, and she's so glad she made it!Sophy also does illustration, portraits, paintings, and sculptures and has been included in the Society of Illustrators: LA show (2009) and the American Illustration web gallery (2010). She has worked for many individuals, companies, corporations, agencies, elementary schools, high schools, universities, and colleges and is looking forward to working with many more.

Every year my Bar Association throws a holiday party for homeless children in Baltimore City. In previous years we have had volunteers that do face painting for the children. This year we had some extra money in the budget so we hired Sophy to show us how the professionals do it. I told her that we would have several volunteers and asked if she would be willing to coach them as well as paint faces. Sophy was very flexible and accommodating, as well as pleasant and professional. Not only is she a great artist, but she is also a good teacher. The children had a great time, and our volunteers enjoyed themselves immensely while learning a thing or two.
